Lucy Bruce
On today’s episode on One For The Road I have to issue a trigger warning as there are discussions around child abuse and suicide. My guest on todays show today is Lucy Bruce. Lucy lives in Glasgow with her two daughters and has now been sober for 18 years. Her childhood was impacted by alcohol, violence & sexual abuse and she self-medicated with alcohol throughout her teens and early twenties until suicidal thoughts and panic attacks made her seek help to get sober. Despite removing alcohol Lucy struggled with unresolved childhood trauma & suffered from obtrusive thoughts surrounding her pregnancies until years later when she experienced MDMA Therapy and has never looked back. Lucy is a single parent, has weathered divorce, co-dependent relationships and loss but still lives a life free from alcohol.
