The Sherlock Effect - Dr. Thomas Young

On todays episode I speak with Dr Thomas Young. Author of the book 'The Sherlock Effect', I contacted Dr. Young initially to get his thoughts on the findings of the medical examiner in the case of Saul Contreras. After sending him the report Dr Young messaged me back almost instantly and told me to call him. What followed was a fascinating chat for almost 45mins on what he says is a terribly disturbing situation happening in courts across the United States and in fact the world. Thomas W. Young, MD has over thirty years of experience as a full-time forensic pathologist. Since January of 2007, Dr. Young has provided consultant services in forensic pathology as a self-employed person, consulting in cases throughout the United States and in other areas of the world. Prior to his self-employment, Dr. Young was the Jackson County Medical Examiner for 11 1/2 years, serving as the chief death investigator for metropolitan Kansas City on the Missouri side of the state line.
