Nitrocellulose: Balancing Performance and Sustainability in Packaging Inks and Coatings

There’s been a lot of buzz in the industry about nitrocellulose. An essential component in most solvent-based ink and coating formulations, this binder resin is recognized for offering ink manufacturers excellent formulation, printing, and application. But it also comes with a sustainability challenge. Packaging Strategies sat down with Dr. Nikola Juhasz, who holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from M.I.T. and has spent 20+ years in various positions of R&D leadership.
