Automatic responses... They can sabotage you and your HSC. Not addressing this in a systematic and effective way is perpetuating the same problem when your kid hits a different developmental milestone. It just might show up in a different way... The meltdowns may stop but they might be constantly irritable, or develop more anger and frustration, or stop talking to you, or isolate in their room, or get stuck on their screens and have a meltdown only when you take away the screen.  When that happens you have to take a clear look on whether or not your child is blaming themselves for their own emotions.
