B2B Sales Unplugged - Episode #407 with Michael Walford-Grant

Michael Walford-Grant is a professional B2B salesperson, running his own sales consultancy practice, built on the foundations of a thirty-year track record in technology sales into the financial banking sector. Prior to setting up his business, MDWG Consulting Ltd, in 2020, he worked for both large and small software and services companies. During the latter part of this career, he specialised in "First Man In" roles for foreign based companies, wishing to enter the UK market. It is this specialisation that forms the foundation of his business. He works with small, niche and early-stage companies, that want to "improve their sales effectiveness", and more effectively scale their business, by implementing "sales best practices". These consulting engagements in turn led to him securing a publishing deal in 2023, for his book "Sales Unplugged: The Invaluable "Go To Guide" For Busy B2B Salespeople. A book of best practices distilled into an easy-to-use guide, the book is a mix of traditional and new scientific-based tips and techniques, supplemented with personal anecdotes and stories, drawn from his vast experience working "in the frontline". Whilst the book is primarily targeted towards specialist salespeople, it is also proving popular with business/owners. Prior to this, in the 1980s he had two specialist crossword books published, one entitled Rock and Pop Crosswords, and the follow-up entitled Telly Teasers Crossword Puzzles.
