Episode 3 - Introduction to Sleep Science Lecture @ Hollywood Private Hospital, Nedlands, WA

This episode is a recording from a lecture I did at Hollywood private hospital in Nedlands, Western Australia. In the lecture titled introduction to sleep science - I cover, theories to why we sleep, what sleep is and how sleep is initiated/ regulated. Then we move onto normal sleep physiology and some clinical impacts of poor sleep related to the brain and in chronic disease. Following on with a introduction obstructive sleep apnoea, a sleep disordered breathing condition that up to 25% of males and 10% of females now suffer with. Finishing with five modern day tips for good quality sleep.
