Episode 62 - Training For A 1000 Mile Walk Across Alaska with Dan Cooper

Dan Cooper is a resilience researcher, ex SAS and extreme adventurer. The other month we sat down together and discussed resilence for 90 minutes and did not get the opportunity to talk about his upcoming adventure.    The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, more commonly known as The Iditarod, is an annual long-distance sled dog race run in early March. It travels from Anchorage to Nome, entirely within the US state of Alaska.   In this episode, we talk about Dan's training and preparation for this monstrous 1000 mile walk in temperatures as low as -40C.    A chat for any of the cold exposure fanatics out there.   To help support the charity Dan is involved with, you can donate here:  https://fundraise.childrens.org.au/fundraisers/danielcooper/iti-1600-km   To follow Dan along the journey over the 30 days, you can view an interactive map here:  https://itialaska.com/tracking   For more episodes and information like this, follow me on social media at   ➡️ http://instagram.com/performancethroughhealth   ✅ If you're looking to reduce stress by 50% boosting focus, energy and productivity for higher performance.
