بعد معاناته المطولة من ضعف السمع وتعرضه للتنمر خلال حياته ومعاناته من قلة الوعي المجتمعي بهذه المشكلة، أسس هاشم مبادرة "سامعك" للتغلب على هذه المشكلة ونشر الوعي لدى المجتمع ودعم ومساعدة الأشخاص الذين يعانون من ضعف السمع. After a long struggle with a hearing impairment and getting bullied and suffering from the society's lack of awareness, Hashem founded Sam3aak initiative to overcome the problem and to raise the awareness in the society and to help people who suffer from hearing impairments.
