In this episode Dr Ruth makes sense of the sensory issues that may present for young children with developmental delays. We talk about the 7 sensory systems and the ways in which some children may have difficulty processing certain input, but be super motivated by others. Understanding that all children have a unique sensory profile helps those around them develop fun play activities to support engagement and motivation to communicate.
