#8 Alexandra Elle on the Avenues of Healing and the Beauty of Messing Up
Alex Elle is the author of multiple books and journals including “After the Rain”, “Neon Soul” and “Today I Affirm: A Journal That Nurtures Self-Care.” Alex provides a safe space for healing and understanding through writing retreats and workshops and has built a social media community of nearly a million followers. To deal with depression and explore healing, Alex found writing as her refuge. Now a mother of three children, Alex continues to use her vocation to help people find their voices through self-care practices that involve storytelling, poetry and narrative writing. In this episode, I talk to Alex about my own pluck ups, particularly with the issue of equity and diversity. We go deep into what makes a real leader, reacting versus responding, and how to release some of the shame that comes with stumbling and messing up -- because let’s face it, we don’t always get it right. --Love the podcast?
