Eternal Trail

We blaze through our days With questions along the way Wondering how to get by and make Something that brings honor to our name Little do we know when we start the run That that’s not what it’s all about Yet we courageously walk ahead In the hope to leave a mark on our ancestral past This is important to do for we stand here today, Because of those in the rear view, Whatever rights or wrongs you judged them with, Our ancestors are the reason we are here, Here to you, may be different from the person next door, But this life, you see, is such a personally unique journey, Comparison kills, But celebration for our wins, Is what will help us remember the moments in life That we stood tall despite it all, So today self-author your life gone by, Thus far, Regardless of the number left your days, Remember those moments you struggled yet fought, For a fair shot at being the best at whatever role you had got, Mom, pop, sis, bro, friend, wife, teacher, soul mate, Was there a time when you could have thrown your marriage, or friendship under a bus? But worked through the pain to build it back up, Or was there a time, you stepped away from abuse When you realized, well, what more could I loose? Or maybe you remember a moment of dancing in the rain, Or playing in the snow when everyone told you to come back home, Remember that time when you had a sip of wine with your love by your side, On a dark winter’s night, And when you stepped back to observe all the ways, You made it through your difficult days Even if you complained, You made it and tried and that is a win for life, So forgive yourself for the days you wish you did more, The days, done by forever more, You did what you knew best, Even if what you knew best was a mess, Love yourself, as you close your eyes, Remember, where you came from is where you return, Our beloved home, This journey is a beautiful ride, A ride back home. With love, A friend. In light, For an enteral lifeline.

Life in the 21st century through the voice and heart of a poet. My dear listeners, Do you feel you move too quickly through this world? Pushing to achieve 'that somewhere in the distance' source of happiness, and ultimately racing to get somewhere big so at some point in the future when you're old and grey you can say 'you did it!' I was one of those people. A woman in the 21st century on a mission to claim the status of being fiercely independent, which I did... until I turned inward to see why I did what I did and why I felt what I felt. My desire to seek the truth of our existence & what we could really do to influence the greater good, resulted in the universe beautifully presenting me with synchronicities that have changed my life. Could you move slower and enjoy the ride while you're at it and get the same results quicker? These are thoughts I chase in my quest for the truth and have gotten closer to a more wholesome understanding. I now choose to savor & record the flavor of those moments that catch me in awe, and leave me with a feeling of deep emotion. I now choose to spend time in the stillness than in the race. Having said that, I now have a great yearning to share my understanding of this world & our truth as I feel it, in the now, though poetry. These are contemplations of life through my own emotional & intellectual journey and bursts of poetic flow of knowledge presented to me by people I admire, scientists, artists, and spiritual-gurus around the world who were put on my path to find the one truth. I record daily moments through words & voice so you can feel them; for what is life if you don't allow yourself to feel. Enjoy the podcast. Much Love, Ann. xxx
