Professor Glenn Gibson, PhD: Prebiotics and Gut Microbiota-Targeted Strategies to Improve Health

Dr Glenn Gibson is one of the world’s leading experts on expert in gut health and prebiotics, having originally coined the term “prebiotic.” Dr Gibson was responsible for the initiation of the whole prebiotic concept for gut microbiota management through diet. He has published over 450 research papers and is currently researching acute and chronic gut disease, autism, obesity and probiotic/prebiotic functionality. The article which originally coined this term was published in 1995 and is currently the most-cited paper in the Agricultural Sciences field of the ISI Essential Science Indicators with over 5000 citations.
