Stand Tall and Own Who You Are - Tory Archbold interviews Laura Dundovic

In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast, Tory sits down with Laura Dundovic. Laura is so many things to so many people, so we start off with a snapshot of her career via her Instagram bio. So, she is equipped to give us some dating advice - ‘Communication is always the key to any relationship’ and, she says, ‘Never use the word ‘always,’ it’s poisonous.’ In all her endeavours, including being a Lyrical Gangsta and Summer Chaser, she says it comes down to positivity. ‘I have always been willing to give it a go’ and is ‘obsessed with growth’. While living in the south of France, Laura completed her Cert III & IV in Personal Training and Nutritional Coaching. ‘I have a very holistic approach to health and you need to work on all areas.’ She also has a passion for Açaí and she gives us her top 3 recommendations for the best Açaí in Sydney. ‘For me, health is power’ says Laura, ‘I train and eat well, not so my body looks amazing, but so that my body feels amazing.’ Our mental health and self-care are huge; ‘we need to remove the guilt that comes with looking after ourselves.’ We need to ask ourselves - would I rather give half me today, or all of me tomorrow? ‘I’ve learnt that there is power in resting’ says Laura.  Taking the time to be proud of herself, has been the biggest gamechanger for Laura in her career. ‘I didn’t congratulate myself for the good moments early on in my career, and I think it’s important to take time to be proud of what you have accomplished.’ She goes on to say, ‘other people can only love you as much as you love yourself.’ ‘So, stop looking for external validation and focus on the internal.’ Laura’s top three tips for keeping our wellness in alignment with your mind, body and soul - ‘Movement, becoming clear on your values and finally meditation.’ She also shares the greatest piece of career advice she ever received; ‘Think of yourself as a life-long learner – always upskills, always diversify and always ask questions’ says Laura, ‘You’re only going to become a better human the more you know.’ So, sit back and enjoy this powerful story with the extraordinary Laura Dundovic.   Links: Sign up to the Powerful Steps #coffeechallenge to gain Tory’s proven formula for building a global network, with three coffee dates a week.
