Rabbi Chuck was the former Rabbi at Tree of Life or L'Simcha congregation in Pittsburgh prior to the horrific shooting in October of 2018. He has become an unofficial spokesperson for the community appearing in interviews worldwide including ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, and Al Jazeera.  He has currently been speaking on "When Thoughts and Prayers Aren't Enough" around the country and Canada. He has also been speaking at high schools to promote "No Place For Hate".  Rabbi Chuck graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BA in Social Relations and an MS in Management and Public Policy. He was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. He has served as a Pulpit rabbi for the last 35 years and is known for his work with young people.
