Sheriff Jason Ard

Sheriff Jason Ard has dedicated over 30 years to serving and protecting the people of Livingston Parish, Louisiana. Beginning his law enforcement career in 1993 as a corrections officer, he steadily rose through the ranks—serving as Patrol Officer, Detective, SWAT Commander, Training Officer, Chief of Operations, and ultimately Chief Criminal Deputy—before being elected Sheriff. Throughout his career with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO), he has remained deeply committed to public safety and community pride. As Sheriff, he has fostered a culture of accountability, professional excellence, and innovation within the department, continually raising the standard for law enforcement in a rapidly changing world.
