During the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, he worked in the intelligence section.After retirement from public service, he went to work at Environmental Systems Research Institute where he consulted with law enforcement around the world on intelligence gathering, real-time crime reporting and major event management. He retired in 2024 to pursue Profiling Evil fulltime. Mike is an internationally recognized speaker and trainer, adjunct professor and visiting scholar at several accredited universities.
