Advances in Commercial GEOINT Panel - Sensor Showdown

Advances in Commercial GEOINT Panel  The initial impetus for real growth in the commercial GEOINT satellite market was the need to augment classified systems and ‘off-load’ lower priority, non-time dominant collection so government systems could focus on the truly critical issues. For example, most of the so-called mapping mission went to commercial. That was then, this is now. Today the government recognizes that national security mission success dictates far greater “persistence” including through all weather conditions…and the ability to glean insights from parts of the spectrum not currently collected. This panel will explore how rapid revisit collection throughout the day and night and through cloud-cover using SAR is enabling both new government and commercial customers. In addition, it will explore how hyperspectral imaging can unlock new types of information.   Moderator: Rob Zitz | Robert Zitz & Associates LLC  Panelist: Scott Herman, CTO | BlackSky  Panelist: Bill Schuster, Co-founder | HyspecIQ  Panelist: Mike Moran, COO | PredaSAR   This episode is created and hosted by Project Geospatial as apart of our Geospatial Frontier Sensor Showdown Series partnered with URSA.
