S2 E1: Georgina Atwell, founder of Toppsta

My guest is Georgina Atwell, founder of Toppsta, the biggest review and recommendation platform for children’s books in the UK. Before creating Toppsta, Georgina worked at Penguin, DK and Apple. We discussed: working on digital products in publishing vs at a tech company, what are Toppsta’s mission and business model, what are the most important steps to develop a new digital product. She also gives advice for people applying to entry-level roles in publishing, talks about current trends in children’s literature and recommends some of her favourite titles.
