Episode 33 | Inside Tribeca Film Festival (w/ Lucy Heath) | PULP KITCHEN

Cannes. Venice. Tribeca. Film festivals are key parts of the film calendar, but underneath the exhibition of exciting new films a lot of the true business of film is conducted. From development deals to distribution rights, film festivals put the ‘business’ in showbusiness. We wanted to gain a first-hand glimpse of what a film festival is like from someone attending for that reason, so we welcomed actor and writer Lucy Heath (our first ever guest!) to talk to us about her recent experience pitching her TV series at the Tribeca Film Festival. We cover the strangeness of pitching, the brilliance of Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, and the questionable filmography of David Schwimmer. *Apologies for James' audio this week. First time recording 3 audio tracks with only 2 mics. We are aware it's muffled. Thank you for tolerating it this week ! We will be better next time!* We would love to hear your thoughts!
