Australia, EU start talks on security and defence deal
Australia appears to be bolstering its ties with the European Union as the federal government commences talks on a security and defence partnership, which aims to strengthen co-operation on global security challenges. The commitment came after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met with European Commission President - Ursula von der Leyen - and European Council President, Antonio Costa on the final day of the G7 summit.
