Israel-Iran war: Is history repeating?

As the Israel-Iran war takes a new turn, developments in the United States that unfolded earlier this year are coming back into focus. In March, the US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard testified before Congress that Iran was not pursuing the development of nuclear weapons.  But US President Donald Trump disagreed. Now, with concerns over the integrity of the intelligence used to warrant the strikes on Iran over the weekend, parallels are being drawn with the 2003 invasion of Iraq. But are they justified?
