SEASON 3, EPISODE 4: Mental Health: the male perspective

Season 3 provides an insight into the male perspective of having cancer at a young age and offers a balanced representation to explore how different genders experience similar situations or challenges.    In this episode we introduce you to Fraser, James and Euan as they discuss how cancer has affected their mental health, highlighting that they don't want cancer to define them. They admit to finding it difficult to open up about their feelings and recognise the impact their mental health can have on others, which can lead to them suppressing their emotions and trying to portray that they are coping well.  They discuss how their perspectives on life have changed and how they feel different to their non-cancer peers. They challenge the misconception that mental health is only affected during treatment and explain that for some people its harder after treatment ends.   Season 3 is sponsored by the Beatson Cancer Charity Home | Beatson Cancer Charity and is recorded by Go Radio in Glasgow Go Radio | 90's 00's & Now | Number 1 for Glasgow & The West (thisisgo.co.uk)  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/radiotherapypodcast Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/radiotherapypod LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/radio-therapy-podcast TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@radiotherapypodcast
