Encouraging Men to Volunteer in the Classroom

In the studio today is Paddy Eger, a Washington state author who writes across several genres including non-fiction, YA novels and chapter books. She is a veteran teacher from the Edmonds School District 15, Edmonds, Washington. She has participated in classrooms as a community volunteer, a parent volunteer, a parent trainer as well as a teacher in primary and intermediate grades.She is a graduate of the University of Washington and spent her career teaching in the Edmonds School District. Her books that support volunteerism include the award-winning book, Educating America: 101 Strategies for Adult Assistants in K-8 Classrooms and it's companion Educating AmericaDesktop Flipbook.
