Ian Group has always been passionate about real estate, dating back as far as grade school. Growing up in New York, it’s not hard to see why. And despite the twists and turns he’s taken both in his life and professional career, it’s always been linked to some form of real estate. Growing up, Ian came from a traditional family and naturally followed the traditional path. He got good grades, did well in academics, and was poised to have a successful life. And for what it’s worth, finishing college and law school, he came out of it in one piece. But he quickly found out reality wasn’t so kind. Ian found himself with a boatload of debt and had to quickly get back on track. He experimented with his finances, made mistakes, and along the way learned what worked to now teaching others how to get out of the same hole he was in all the while raising a family. And that’s where we meet Ian in this episode. Despite glazing over his journey to the present day, Ian has come a long way and the amazing thing is he’s only really just getting started. Up to date, Ian is the Head of Customer Success at ProDeal. He’s on track to pay off the remaining of his over $200K in student loan debt and aims to acquire his first rental property in 2022.
