Kamohai & Tristyn Kalama Hawaii natives Hamohai and Tristyn Kalama are a real estate investing power couple. Hamohai has always been entrepreneurial, starting multiple businesses with his siblings, and Tristyn came from a family of real estate investors and basically had real estate in her DNA. The great thing is they are the first in their respective families to invest in real estate as a full time business. It’s not a surprise that real estate was something they always had in the back of their mind, but it wasn’t until their first child that they really considered jumping all the way. And out of all places, it was during an episode of some HGTV program while Tristyn was tending their newborn that the lightbulb lit. With their drive and local relationships, Kamohai and Tristyn got a fast start and have tried different strategies. And while they’ve had both success and lessons with each type, all they know is, even in a booming market like Hawaii, there are deals to be had.
