He is the co-founder and principal of The Marathon Initiative, a non-profit research organization focused on developing US strategy. Most recently Colby is the author of "The Strategy of Denial: American Defense in an Age of Great Power Conflict" in which he lays out the case for challenging China’s rise and preparing the US to defend the region.
