Rebuilding Beautiful #2 - Rachel Faulker Brown

My guest for Rebuilding Beautiful Episode 2 is Rachel Faulker Brown. Rachel has a powerful story of losing two husbands in an instant, one to an aneurysm and one in an Air Force plane crash. Yet she loves marriage so much that she took a chance on it again and married her current husband Rod, who has been her rock and secret weapon on most days. Rachel loves ministering to women, whether it’s on the road speaking or through her ministry Be Still. In our conversation we talk about her journey of rebuilding a life over and over again. Rachel is one of my heroes and I know her story will encourage so many women who are fighting to find a way through the most difficult seasons in life. Om Podcasten

There is a question I have asked myself over and over again these last few years as I have worked hard to rebuild my life, the question is this: “how do I move forward from here?” If I’m being honest I’m still learning how to answer that question, and I know it’s a question that many of us will have to answer at some point along the way. Because the truth is, none of us are exempt from pain. So, what do we do when life doesn’t go the way we planned? What do we do when the suicide happens? What do we do when the cancer diagnosis invades our reality? What do we do when divorce tears our world apart? What do we do when our dreams are shattered? Can life really be beautiful again? How do we move forward from here?Well my hope is that this would be a space where we can have real conversations with friends who have discovered their own answers to these questions as they have fought hard to find a way to build a beautiful life around their pain. Because if there is anything I’ve learned these last few years it’s that the pain doesn’t just go away, it moves forward with us. And as that same confusing, indescribable, knot in our stomach pain settles into our reality our job isn’t to try run away from it, or numb it, or get rid of it, our job is to discover how build a beautiful life around it.And I truly believe that this will be a safe space where we can be inspired to do just that. These conversations will be powerful, inspiring, full of hope, and really helpful and I am so excited to lean in, learn, and grow as we rebuild beautiful together. Let’s chase after it! There is so much more ahead, I can’t wait!
