#27 - Jane Tewson
The following is a conversation with Jane Tewson. Jane has been instrumental in the creation of several charities, including Comic Relief and Igniting Change. Comic Relief has raised more than a billion pounds supporting people doing it tough in Africa and the UK. Jane was named by The Times as one of the most influential innovators of the 1990s and in 1999 she received a CBE. Despite these achievements, it is Jane’s emphasis on grass roots charitable endeavours that has really defined her career. Before any charitable endeavour Jane believes that you must listen to the people involved and hear the issues from their perspective. It must always be personal, respectful and inclusive.
