#74: Q&A pt 3 - Recovering when not underweight, cope with weight gain, going inpatient & I can’t stop eating sugar

You keep asking good questions, and so I keep answering them! Although only a very few percentage of eating disorder sufferers is underweight, diet culture and many mental health facilities make a big deal out of recovering when you’re not underweight. So how do you do it? Why do you have to gain weight when you recover from a restrictive eating disorder, and how do you cope with the weight gain itself, as well as with comments from friends, family, and (mental) health professionals? And on that note… is eating sugar really that bad? What if you are “addicted to sugar” (spoiler alert: you’re not), how do you (not) stop? And while I offer outpatient treatment, sometimes, going inpatient may be necessary or helpful. Curious to know what I think about inpatient treatment, or do you want to know more about how to cope with the challenges (both positive and negative) you may face when going inpatient, and how to get better rather than worse? Tune in to today’s episode! My new program, The Booster Intensive, is starting soon! Besides this program, I've got some other programs as well.
