#77: Can I recover in 6 weeks?

If you've been on the eating disorder recovery side of any social media platform lately, you may have heard about how Tabitha Farrar recently claimed that not only is it possible to recover from your eating disorder in six weeks, it's also what will happen if you are truly motivated and trying. And while I'm generally a big fan of her work, and have used knowledge from her book in both my personal recovery and my work as a coach, in today's episode I'm going to discuss why I think the claim that 'truly motivated people' will recover in six weeks is harmful, how long I think recovery may actually take, and why it's more than okay to take time to recover. Tune in for some support and motivation to keep going on this road, and be assured that as long as you're trying, you're doing just fine. My new program, The Booster Intensive, is starting soon! Besides this program, I've got some other programs as well. If you are interested in working with me, feel free to take a look at my website and sign-up or contact me. You can also find me over at Instagram at @Daniellevankay and can always send me a DM with a question.
