EP. 64 | Parveen Yaqoob OBE | Education needs Women

In the UK, just 28% of professors are female. And once you go up the chain in education this percentage only drops. A stat highlighted to me by my guest, Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Reading, Parveen Yaqoob OBE. Parveen has recently been awarded an OBE for her services to higher education, but her story comes from adversity that many women may relate to.  From overcoming a common South Asian expectation not to study & get married to facing a male-dominated career Parveen talks me through how she's become who she is today. Her invaluable advice for those who wish to go into higher education, both to teach or study is a must-listen. I hope you enjoy the episode.
