Loving In Lockdown | Ep. 1 of 4 | Anita & Avnish Goyal

In this first of four special episodes, I am joined by my husband Avnish Goyal to discuss how Loving in Lockdown can be improved with your intimate relationship with your partner. The lengthy period in lockdown of close contact may have magnified and intensified negativity, conflicts and dissatisfaction in your relationship.  We discuss some of the factors that may cause stress, such as money (economic hardship), sex (incompatibilities) and children (homeschooling and how to raise children). We share some simple tips to help start addressing some of the challenges and constructively deal with conflict.   To be aware of the holes in your love bucket, to repair this and watch how your love bucket overflows. Try the love languages quiz by Gary Chapman to give and receive love in a more meaningful way and grow closer than ever before (available online https://www.5lovelanguages.com/). Write and share what you are grateful for in your partner, sharing how you appreciate each other. It all starts with being a detective of your life and how you are responding and reacting to situations. A supportive relationship is more likely to cope more effectively with lockdown and respond sensitively when the other is feeling stressed.
