EP. 28 | Relight Your Fire | Aspiration, equality and inclusion with Heeral Shah

In this episode, I’m with Heeral Shah, Head of UK Debt Structuring, Global Lending Group at Barclays. Heeral has spent over 2 decades in Banking, and while discussing the incredible success in her career, we dive into some of the challenges that she has faced along the way and what drove her to get through them. We speak on diversity, equality and inclusion, resilience, being a role model to other women, finding a mentor and some of the inclusivity challenges that she’s overcome in the corporate world. Heeral talks about how she took inequality and inclusion in her stride, taking on each as a challenge. What is especially interesting is that she didn’t notice it during her early career. But overcame being the only woman and sometimes also the only Asian in the room by building meaningful relationships and working hard to 'have a seat at the table.'
