Is AI really a national security threat?

What do you think about when you're asked about artificial intelligence? You might think about search algorithms or social feeds or robots, but what you might not be thinking about is national security. That’s right, AI can be used for things like drone targeting and missile detection. A report by the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence wants the US to be a world leader in AI development, but what does it even mean to be a leader wielding this technology?
