Grim Tales (1989)

Once, a long time ago, there were two nasty ogres, one called Adam and the other called Heather. Now, it was well known that Adam and Heather were the nastiest, meanest, most bad-tempered ogres in all the land - they'd snatch away lollipops from children, they'd knock off old ladies' hats, and worst of all, they'd watch old TV shows and then take it upon themselves to sit in judgment. One day, the two ogres came across a television programme from long, long ago called Grim Tales, which featured stories told by the most handsome and popular prince in the whole kingdom, Rik Mayall. All the people loved Prince Rik and threw flowers everywhere he went.Adam and Heather didn't like this - they were very jealous, and would hide inside their dark, mouldy lair muttering the foulest curses they could muster. One cold, wintery morning, Heather woke up and said, "I know what we can do. We can make a podcast all about Prince Rik and his television programme, and we can say lots of awful things about him. All the worst things we can think of!" But they knew they had to be careful, for Prince Rik had a special magic which made all the people fall madly in love with him. They were ogres, and it wouldn't do to fall in love with charming Prince Rik, would it?The Lion says, Schteeve... I would love it if you would like, rate, review and share the podcast, Schteeve.https://twitter.com/retro_tubehttps://shows.acast.com/retrotubeemail: retrotubepodcast@gmail.comTheme Music by Berlin Horse.Fun fact: Pete Moss, who was Vivian Stanshall's musical director, also did the 80s Grange Hill theme.
