(ROBSERVATIONS Replay) CAPTAIN MARVEL is not a SJW Film (#002)

Writer-director-producer Robert Meyer Burnett reacts to the outcry by some fans that the MCU’s CAPTAIN MARVEL movie is Hollywood bending to the will of fans and social media influencers insisting on a female-led superhero movie. “As fans, we should hope for a great script and a great story,” explains RMB. He explains that the fact superheroes will be depicted as men and women from a variety of races in an inevitability - and we should all be okay with that. What we need, Burnett continues, is an educated population when it comes to nearly 10,000 years of art and literature. “We can’t something that was created a thousand years ago is now bad because of the way we view things today.”RMB also answers questions from fellow Imagination Connoisseurs in the livestream chat.(ROBSERVATIONS Episode #002 • Originally streamed December 16, 2018)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/robservations-the-show-about-something--4698528/support.
