This lecture discusses key ideas from the Medieval philosopher, theologian, and Benedictine monk Anselm of Canterbury's dialogue, On Freedom of Choice (the second work in a trilogy including On Truth and On The Fall of the Devil) It focuses specifically on his discussion of what he calls "slavery to sin", i.e. the inability to not sin or do wrong in a person, when rectitude of will is missing from their will. The question he is grappling with is how a person, while being free, can make themself into a slave or servant of sin.
