This lecture discusses key ideas from the Medieval philosopher, theologian, and Benedictine monk Anselm of Canterbury's dialogue, On Truth (the first work in a trilogy including On Freedom of Choice and On The Fall of the Devil) It focuses specifically on his discussion in chapter 6 of truth and falsity "in the exterior senses". Anselm's view is that in cases when we might say that the senses are deceiving us, it is really the judgement (opinio) of the mind that is deceiving us.
