It has only been few weeks since the inflight menu of British Airways has been spiced up with four delicious Schirmchendrink cocktails in cooperation with Deeper Sounds – we’re extremely happy to release the first one today on our SoundCloud page! Such a sensational sip by the dear Jacob Groening! Besides mixing this cocktail, the Berlin-based producer and dj also provided the wonderful soundtrack of the exclusive inflight guest show: in our announcement video last month, we used his smooth & sublime original track “Lime”, off his “Fask EP” out on Earthly Delights. And, you won’t be surprised, Lime is also a key ingredient of Jacobs Schirmchendrink… Jacob Groening manages to infuse organic, gypsy, blues and soul with electronic elements … or is it the other way around? He is a musician, sound engineer and DJ – and his music never sounds the same. Experimenting with various genres and style is a key element of Jacob’s live shows and mixtapes. Things keep shifting and fusing but still there is this gentle touch in composition: if sweet or subtle, if house… or tech house, or slow house, or whatever you want to call it. His unique and playful approach to music was picked up by labels such as Earthly Delights, Amselcom, Steyoyoke and many more. And, of course, by his own imprint, Kamai.
