Do you ever set big goals for the year, have all the best intentions in the world, and then get so distracted by the day-to-day demands that you lose sight of your goals? Or, do you get frustrated when others do the same thing? If so, you’re likely dealing with an accountability problem. Accountability is for many people a bad word. It’s usually drenched in shame and blame. But it doesn’t have to be that way. You don’t have to spend all your time “holding” teachers accountable just to get them to act.
