Laura Thomas is a Registered Dietitian with more than 30 years of experience in child nutrition programs and training. Her child nutrition and training expertise appears in resources developed for Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of USDA and the Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN). Her work includes school nutrition standardized recipes, cycle menus, nutrition reviews. Most recently, she developed interactive online training for the Food Buying Guide for Child Nutrition Programs for the ICN and USDA FNS scheduled for release Fall of 2020. Other USDA works include the Menu Planning Guide for School Nutrition Programs and Grow It! Try It!
