From El Salvador to Canada with Enrique Moran
Enrique is a student I taught in Summer Session. We met and connected on many areas of similar interests. I had no idea at the time though, of the incredible story that lead him and his family out of El Salvador and into Canada. Held at gunpoint and thinking this was the end, the family survived the ordeal and re-located to Canada. Now today a student at UBC, Enrique speaks with poise and insight on topics ranging from what life was like in a rural country with no internet, to how AI and Informatic Engineering may help lead a world out of a pandemic.
