Is trauma holding you back from self love?

Is it trauma? Almost everyone I work with has experiences in childhood that don't present as trauma, but in todays world would be on the ever growing list. Trauma can be defined as 'severe and lasting emotional shock and pain caused by a significant stressful, frightening or distressing event, or multiple smaller events (complex trauma) that are difficult to cope with, that can be life changing both at the time or ongoing as a result of the experience. It often shows up in our identity; our coping behaviours; our thoughts and feelings, which can be 'the thing' that leads us to healing and working through the memories. And it's super important to know that healing the mind and body's relationship to the event will help you move on and regain control in your life... so if you recognise yourself or your life in any of todays episode, know that it can be worked through.
