Nadia Murad: Nobel Peace Prize Winner and Voice for Justice

In 2014, 19-year-old Nadia Murad experienced first-hand the horrors of genocide when ISIS attacked her Yazidi community in Iraq. Her family was devastated, she was kidnapped and enslaved--but once she escaped she made it her mission to speak out for all survivors of sexual violence and to bring ISIS to justice. For her work she was honored with the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize.
