Are these your goals? Ep: 51

We all make choices in life. There's no point in beating ourselves up. We just have to be open and honest about our choices when we look back at them. When I make a choice, I have to understand that in this moment this is what I felt my highest standard decision to be, this was my biggest value. It’s a simple enough way of looking at life. Simply choosing in the moment, what the best decision to make for you is and not living by other peoples definitions of what we should be, what we should say, or what we should do. I’ve had to tell my clients before that, I don't believe their goal is true. For example, if it was weight loss, I have to sometimes tell my clients that I don't believe this is truly what they want. In fact, I think it's what your partner wants, or your children want, or your friends want, or what you think society wants of you. This is not your goal. It is somebody else’s. Sometimes the goals that we choose to pursue are ones we've watched before us and not truly our own. Remember to pick the goals that you want, that are true to you. Stop living your goals through other people, it's not what your husband wants of you, it's not what your kids want of you, it's not what the world wants of you, it's not what you want of you. Start to think about the goal that you want and truly decide what it is that you're going to go after and then give it 100% until you achieve it.
