Hollywood's Impact on 1920s Japanese Fashion (with Lois Barnett)
Lois Barnett was awarded her PhD by SOAS in 2020, funded by the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation and the British Association for Japanese Studies. Her thesis is entitled 'Consuming the "West": Audiences, Industries, Film and Fashion in Japan (1923-1939)'. She holds a BA in Japanese Studies and an MA in Global Cinemas and the Transcultural, both from SOAS.
