#covid19 #workpractices #workplaceCOVID-19 has disrupted work and organizations across the globe. During the pandemic, 29 researchers from around the world have joined forces to review prior literature - rooted mainly in work and organizational psychology - and tried to make sense of the implications of Covid-19 for employees, teams, and organizations .(https://psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/2020-58612-001.pdf)They focused on:✔️ emergent changes in work practices (e.g., working from home, virtual teamwork) ✔️ emergent changes for workers (e.g., social distancing, stress, and unemployment) ✔️ potential moderating factors (demographic characteristics, individual differences, and organizational norms) given the likelihood that COVID-19 will generate disparate effects. This broad-scope overview provides an integrative approach for considering the implications ofCOVID-19 for work, workers, and organizations while also identifying issues for futureresearch and insights to inform solutions. In this episode, I am hosting Mark van Vugt, Professor of Evolutionary Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Jay Narayanan, Associate Professor Management & Organizations at the National University of Singapore.
