Ep27: Sliding Doors with Pat Nevin

Pat Nevin is a retired footballer playing for the likes of Chelsea, Clyde and Everton and winning 28 caps for Scotland in his International career, and is now one of the most respected and sought-after football pundits on BBC and Radio 5 Live. Born and bred in Glasgow, he was a unique footballer who always had more of a love for the arts and music. A Sunday Times Best Selling Author, he released his latest book, 'The Accidental Footballer' earlier this year.In this episode Pat speaks inspirationally about his outlook on life, and how for him not taking yourself too seriously and enjoying what you do can get you far! We chat all about how his rejection from Celtic at a young age, was a moment that really shaped his life and how as a footballer there are so many 'what if' situations that could have been. We delve into how having a kick around for a bet, led Pat to be signed to his first team. We also discover the amazing way in which Pat met his wife, when timing was everything!@slidingdoorspod Hosted by: @jenbecks28   Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
