In Episode 7, to celebrate International Women's Day Dan Vo and Lee Dibben look at women's activism in the LGBTQI movement and chat to Pippa Dale founding ambassador of LBTQWomen and GiveOut trustee Rosanna Flamer-Caldera, who is founder and director of Equal Ground. Rosanna tells us about her journey into activism, and how she is campaigning for legislative change in Sri Lanka through Equal Ground and as the chair of The Commonwealth Equality Network.  About GiveOut GiveOut is an award-winning charity growing giving to support the global struggle for LGBTQI human rights. GiveOut enables individuals and businesses to give in one place to support LGBTQI activism worldwide. We pool these donations to provide grants to LGBTQI organisations around the world. About LBTQWomen LBTQWomen is a dynamic network created to inspire, inform and celebrate the success of lesbian and bisexual women. The network aims to increase the visibility of LBTQWomen at work and in society, help them to be more confident about who they are, as well as actively encourage them to reach their potential, strive for success, be authentic and valued accordingly.  About Equal Ground Equal Ground works to promote the equal civil, political, economic and socio-cultural rights of the LGBTQI community in Sri Lanka. LGBTQI people in Sri Lanka face discrimination at every level of society, with the Penal Code criminalising same-sex relations between both men and women.
