The Lab - How We Create Spacemusic (1)

February 2020 Step into the Spacemusic studio ... This is the starting episode of a new series that will introduce you to TC's World: creating the Spacemusic podcast for thousands of listeners online! In the electronic music genre _ Spacemusic _ was the very first podcast paying attention to artists and their music, letting the music flow like it was meant to flow. It was not just another EDM channel playing dance music, as what TC often refers to as:  "So called Electronic Music stations that seem to understand what Electronic Music really stands for ... yeah right! Then I'm crazy Harry!" Spacemusic was the very first electronica podcast in the iTunes podcast directory, back in the year 2005, with an average amount of 10,000-20,000 downloads each single episode. Spacemusic #1 saw daylight in February 2005 - today exactly 15 years ago. People are still downloading that content ... Followed by Nonstop mixes, sound-seeing tours, interviews like "Motion of the Stars", LIVE-cooking in the kitchen or vacuum cleaning the living room .... music has always been the bottom line, perfect as a soundtrack while listeners are traveling, sleeping or studying at home. We even receive e-mails from listeners sitting in the bathtub... So, how do you come up with a tracklist TC? How do you make it happen? What does it take before publishing an episode? This is not a manual or a tutorial about how to create a podcast. This series  is about the creativity behind the scenes. About the man that is responsible for the ideas, content and the final delivery. Also about the tools being used to produce this unique podcast and make them sound like ... Spacemusic. Part 1 - " collecting music: how to decide what music to play and how to play it " Have fun! // ambient zone //
